COVID-19 Vaccinated ????

Dr. Theresa Towechi Onwuchekwa

Hello guys! I took the COVID-19 vaccination on 23/03/2021. I wanted to wait a few days before making this post so that I can give details on any side effects and to help those who may be concerned about the safety of taking the vaccine.

The vaccine I took is the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine. This vaccine aims to protect against COVID-19. As the name implies, it is manufactured by Astrazeneca in the University of Oxford, UK.

For those wondering how I am feeling now, I am hale, hearty, and breathing.  For the first 24 to 48 hours, I experienced similar symptoms to malaria. Initially, I felt normal, so I went back to work to see patients.   Later at night I had a slight fever and I started feeling fatigued. The next day, my arm was painful where I received the injection. I had some muscle and joint ache, chills during the day and a headache. After 24 hours all side effects resolved.  Although I experienced the aforementioned, I was not alarmed because the nurse counseled me prior to the vaccine.

If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, please be sure to inform your medical professional before you take the vaccine. Vaccination is a choice right now, but if you decide not to please do this from an enlightened point of view and for the right reasons.

The AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine has been listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization and is safe and effective based on data from large-scale clinical trials.

I am open to answering any questions you may have in the comment section ????????????
